You Alone are God
I was almost in tears the first time that I had watched this piece entitled “You” by Amena Brown. In fact I was in tears by the time the video had finished.
It is absolutely amazing how God can speak to each of us at a time when we need Him the most, and He does it in ways and at times when we least expect it. I don’t remember what I was going through when I had watched this video, but I do know and remember that I needed it.
Through her piece, Amena Brown speaks about many of the things that people who have a relationship with Jesus Christ can relate to. God is merely an awesome and glorious God who cares about His people.
God is a Heavenly Father who loves His children more than we could ever imagine. He even loves those who don’t yet love him. He loves everyone of us so much that some 2,000 years ago He sent His one and only son Jesus Christ to come down to this earth to go through what we as human beings go through. Jesus came to serve, to seek, and to save those who are lost and in need of his love, of his care, and and of his protection.
Jesus Christ came to die for the sins of this world so that we may not only live a life more abundantly here on this earth, but so that we may have everlasting eternal life after physical death on this earth in heaven with Him.
Jesus Christ came to die for the sins of this world and to raise on the third day just for you and for me.
Once you gain a heartfelt understanding of God’s love for you and truly accept His beloved son Jesus Christ into your heart, you too will be able to feel what Amena expresses through her piece in such a way, that you feel as if you could have written the piece yourself. That is the way that I feel every time that I listen to it. I love because He first loved me.

I love the video. Being born and raised knowing God I can say that He has been there for me throughout my life. There was a point in my life where I decided where I wanted to make my own decisions and take my own path. I always have and always believe in God but at a certain time that was enough. I did not want to listen to Him, or hear His word. Few years later, I came to a point where I wasn't happy and I couldn't find anything that made me happy. I broke down one day and told God "i'm sorry, I need you." As I look back in my life I realized that He never left me, I left Him. I am so grateful for what I have and still today I can say I am happy and there has not been a day that happiness has disappeared in my life even though I had and still have a rough road. I am blessed and grateful for what God has done for me.
ReplyDeletePraise God! Thank you very much for sharing your testimony with me! It gives me such joy to hear a story like yours! Our God is a merciful and patient God. I can relate to you in being disobedient to the Lord’s will. I’ve never completely turned my back on God, but I have been disobedient, and I did suffer the consequences of my disobedience. But one thing about God is that He is a forgiving God. There isn’t anything that you can do, or that I can do, to separate us from the love of God. He loves us more than we can ever imagine and His mercy and His grace is sufficient for those that genuinely come to Him.
ReplyDeleteWe all can be like the prodigal son who left his fathers home with his inheritance. But once he got out too far and in too deep into the evils of the world, he decided to go back home. When his father saw him from a far off, he ran to him, threw his arms around him, kissed him, and welcomed him back home with open arms of love, and that’s how God is with us.
He loves us and He is patient with us and He has mercy on us when we go against His will. I don’t know why He loves like He does, but I do know that God loves me and He loves you.
God bless you and I pray that you continue to grow and grow in your relationship with Christ.
